Any one els got them?? mine are getting worse

  • #2
I got them on my belly when I was pregnant. Grrrrrrrr.

My husband has them on his arms from growing...I like those. :D

If you're getting them from growing, try using some coco butter to help keep your skin moisturized before you train. As you train, sometimes you will stretch your skin more than normal, like when doing lat pulldowns and your arms are extended up high, your skin is already tighter than usual from a pump so the extra stretching can cause the skin to tear. If you keep it moisturized chances of it tearing are less. Using topical vitamin E afterwards promotes healing and helps reduce scaring.

I have them on my legs arms and delts, when they first appear they get really red, and then eventually fade to skin color(on me anyway). The only thing I've found that helps is getting a nice tan will blend them in.

i had em from being a fat kid more than from lifting but ya they suck, but i guess its more motivation to get big enough so people ignore them and look at the muscles :p

I got loads of them (concentrated in 1 particular area) and to be honest, i don't think they're worth getting concerned about. I have never had any complaints about mine :D

a while back i wanted to repierce my eyebrow but had a previous scar from an old one that was kind of pulled out and the guy told me to get some vit e gelcaps, break them, and rub it on the scar because it would help get rid of it. try that. i never did because i lost interest in the piercing but it could help.

i've also read somewhere that vitamins only are effective if taken orally. so lotions, shampoos, conditioners with all these different topical vitamins aren't all that effective (the vitamins in them). it's almost like they're there to make you buy the product. it contradicts what i just wrote above but the caps are pretty inexpensive. the reason i wrote this is because i've seen some stretchmark lotions go for up to $100 a bottle. so don't spend so much money on one thing before trying out the other less expensive lotions. mederma, palmer's cocoa butter or their stretchmark cream could work just as good for a whole hell of alot less. try doing a search on ebay. baby's mama got a treatment on there for a very reasonable price and it helped her.
