Well, let me start off by saying that most of em' are AMERICAN, so their credibility where hockey is concerned takes a hit right off the hop. Anyways, several are not only picking the Lightning to beat the Canadiens, but are picking them to do so decisively. Some are giving the Lightning the edge in goaltending, in spite of the fact that Jose Theodore has a Hart and Vezina trophy to his credit.
Some are claiming the Lightning have more firepower...
Habs have Koivu (1st in playoff points), Kovalev (tied for 1st in playoff goals 3rd in points), Richard Zednik (tied for 1st in =/- rating and in the top 10 scorers), Mike Ribeiro, and Michael Ryder
This is compared to the Lightning forwards, led by Frederik Modin (who?) at 7th in scoring. Next Tampa forward is Martin St. Louis, who is 19th in scoring, and then Brad Richards in 27th. Vincent Lecavalier hasn't done jack, and Dave Andreychuk is a fossil.
So tell me, who do you think has more firepower?
Experts my ass!!!
