  • My dog is still fat...

I took him and his brother for a doggie haircut this morning (8am- on my day of...whoa!) and it just ain't the fur, lol. He's a porker. His brother isn't as fat but he has a slightly bigger build. Looks like there's gonna be some serious rollerblading this year :o

meat, starving them isnt good. :(
My dog is a bit chunky, and the other one isnt at all. I think its the little junk on the side (like scraps) or too many biscuits. Also, if you "free feed", which means having the food out all day, they will tend to munch all day long.

Technically, if a dog is younger than 6 months, it should eat 3 times a day. Once it hits 6 months, it should eat 2 times a day. When it turns a year old, you feed it once a day for the rest of its life. Sure its ok to them a few treats here and there, but sometimes thats what makes them the fattest.

When I tried to get my dog to lose weight, I bought him "Beneful" (supposed to be healthy) and they loved it so much that they got fat. So I would say to walk him everyday, let him run, and feed him only what hes supposed to eat everyday. Also when you put the food down, they say to leave it out only for a half hour.

      :) Good luck

I was just kiddin I don't starve em, they just eat entirley too much. They are fed by everone in my house, they always have their dry food but they who ever in my house is eating always feeds em.

The vet just says they are 5-6 lbs overweight, for a while I was feeding them carrots as a treat then I got busy and that went away.

if your dogs are fat, you shouldn't free feed them at all. and try feeding them a human grade dry food like Innova (that's what we feed our pup). you feed them less overall food because there's no filler in it.
