          Yes im french.
          Go figure....

Nor do we have the will to really do what is necessary to win the war
Speak for yourself.....myself, my friends, and my brothers take offence to bullshit quotes like those. Just sit back, read your sunday paper and know that your children, and their children's futures are preserved by us morons with no will......Oh yeah, stay away form those websites that are on the left, they are bad for your health

Right, E. Only way pansies like that can have these hypothetical discussions about world politics is if the guys wth convictions do the dirty work...Don't want to soil their fragile psyches with the ugly truth.

If the Marines were to attack the city, thousands of Iraqi civilians would probably die. And guess what? We do not have enough troops in Iraq to control the violent reactions that would erupt across the country. That's because chickenhawk Rumsfeld canned the general who 18 months ago said we needed 350,000 troops to invade and occupy Iraq. Now the Rand Institute says we need 500,000 troops to occupy the country and we have 135,000 there.

Let's do some math boys and girls. 500,000 troops would cost $200 billion a year. That does not include the cost of reconstruction and that is on top of the $500 billion budget deficit we are going to have this year. Well, well, well. Where could we come up with $200 billion? A $2/gallon gas tax would generate that. Or, elimination of the Bush tax cuts for business and the wealthy would do it.

And, oh by the way, 500,000 troops would require the draft again.

I am being somewhat sarcastic but if you are going to go to war, win it. And winning it means destroying not only the government, but the country and society so that they know they have lost and end further resistance. This means thousands of dead civilians just like in Germany and Japan during World War II.

So what will happen now? The insurgents now control Fallujah, Naja, Kuba and they know that all they have to do is seize more towns and city neighborhoods because we do not have the forces to occupy and control everything. Nor do we have the will to really do what is necessary to win the war.

So, more troops' lives will be wasted because we are going to pull out of that sandpit. Old George W will declare victory and leave, saying that we didn't find any WMD and hand over the country to some poor Iraqis. And the country will break up in a civil war that may bring in the Iranians, Turks and Saudis into a fine war.

Hope you have a horse because gas may be a bit hard to find.

De Ja Vu thread. Oh by the way your post is an oxymoron to your avatar. Thanks for listening. Oh yea I'm also drunk. Love you alll see you in the morning :p

                Some thoughts on Frenchmen:

"I would rather have a German division in front of me than a French one behind me". Gen. George Patton

"As far as I'm concerned, war always means failure". Jacques Chirac, (a frenchman)

"As far as France is concerned, you're right". Rush Limbaugh

"Going to war without France (full of frenchmen) is like going deer hunting without your accordian". Gen. Norman Schwartzkopf (an American)

Wouldn't it be ironic if we took Lord Bitches advice If canada were to be invaded. I wonder who they might ask for help? france maybe?

The next time there is a big war, the loser has to keep canada.

French tanks have more gears in reverse than forward.
