  • Do you all believe in DESTINY?

I think we are the ones who control and make our own judgements and decisions in life. I know for a fact if i would have continued hanging out with my old friends from childhood, middle school, and high school, i would have ended up in prison or dead, cause most of them are in jail for stupid shit. Some shot cause of being up to no good. Im glad i met my girl and keep focused on my goals, bodybuilding, school, and her of course, keeps me out of trouble. ;)

i don't feel there's a such thing as destiny. we all live and just go about our daily lives. when people say we're put here to do something, all it is is die. i don't believe in fate or in luck either. what happens to me happens because of my actions. i know when i do wrong there may be consequences involved and if something bad happens to me i don't blame anyone other than myself. doing so would just be passing on the blame from the person responsible. me.

But what if all of those sudden changes were scripted from the dawn of time, unbeknownst to us?

then it wouldn't matter because we would have no control over them.

I think it some of both. I think that chance and destiny must define each other by contrast in order to define themselves.

Like in my signature, Fate does not come to us from the outside, it goes forth from within.

It's the things we choose to do (or not do) that affect our futures. If things were written in stone we'd have no free will and no ability to better ourselves.

It depends what you think destiny means. I don't believe in a rigid, pre-ordained destiny for anyone. If you loved baseball and played since you were a child and worked really hard at it and became great at it, you might fulfill your destiny as a professional baseball player. If you focus your will on becoming something you want to become (or become better at) then you can fulfill your destiny. If you were to live a life of crime and degradation then you could say that being incarcerated or killed may be your destiny.

As Doom said, you can change these factors at any given time in your life- either knowingly or unknowingly- and also change your destiny. Circumstances that change your possible destiny can include life experiences, interactions with and influences from other people (girlfriend, parents, line of employment, etc...), and your current life situation, eg. financial status, religious beliefs, personal health, etc...

Things beyond your control can knock you off track from time to time but it is ultimately your choice as to redirecting your efforts towards your goals. In short, Juice- you can do or be anything you want to be at any given point in your life if you choose to work towards that goal.
