Organic chemistry was my favorite subject, bro... next only to math! I aced every test in my 2 semesters of organic chemistry. Both that and physical chemistry - too bad I went into electrical engineering instead.

I think it is entirely an aptitude thing - several of my friends at work are perfectly smart guys who hated organic chemistry - you either like it /are good at it or you don't.

But you do have to remember a lot of stuff - which makes it kinda odd that I like it so much. I hate memorizing stuff and I usually preferred deriving my math and physics formulae instead of memorizing them.

blm- It is a lot of memorization...actually almost all of it is. Im a chemical engineer major so I actually enjoy the course and am doing ok in it, but many are having trouble. And yeah a good part of the course is hybridization of carbon bonds. And to relate to the rest of the thread...I had a few beers last night as well and hooked up with a nice hotty:)
