  • How to beat DUI charges

    http://www.moderndrunkardmagazine.co...-avoid-dui.htm

I saw this video on the news. Apparently it is making a big splash among law enforcement and MADD. Looks interesting, I am not so sure it is worth what he is charging for it though.:drunk: :drunk: :drunk:

Yeah, a good attorney can get u DUI school and that won't stay on your record... it's pricey though, and court costs run into it as well.

Well...I wish I had seen this before! I am currently going through all the bullshit involved in a DUI stop! Happened back in January and I am still waiting to go to trial or have the charges dropped! A good attorney will do his best but just as in any case the state attorneys use all the time they can because they know the longer they take the more likely you will plea out! In my case, it was 2:30 in the morning, I had been drinking but wasn't in noway too drunk to drive! I didn't blow, I didn't do the road side sobriety test! I was very cooperative and nice and the Trooper even put that in his report! My attorney has read the report and the Trooper said in his report that he been following me for a few miles and that I only crossed the dotted line once! Dotted line...not double solid line! My attorney has filed a motion to suppress the officers report due to him not having just cause to pull me over! I'll find out Thursday whether it gets suppressed or we go to trial! Either way you look at it the courts want your money and they will get it through court costs, DUI schools and so on!

ACTUALLY THE BREATH ANALYZER OR "BREATHMASTER" IS ONLY A TOOL. A POLICE OFFICER CAN ARREST, CHARGE AND CONVICT YOU ON SEVERAL DIFFERENT FACTORS ALL OF WHICH SUBSTANTIATE THE CASE. OFTEN THEY DO NOT EVEN NEED TO HAVE YOU DO A BREATH TEST. THE CONVICTION RATE IS ACTUALLY HIGHER BASED UPON OBSERVATION AND VISUAL EVIDENCE ALONE THEN WITH THE BREATH TEST. THE BREATH TEST IS OFTEN CHALLENGED ON A VARIETY OF LEGAL LEVELS FROM CALIBRATION TO OPERATION. BOTTOM LINE..IF YOUR ARRESTED CALL AN ATTORNEY BEFORE SUBMITTING TO ANY TESTS. JUST ONE MANS OPINION;)

Gotten out of hand? It's against the law to drink and drive, and it not only puts yourself in danger, it puts every other innocent driver and passenger on the road in danger.

I've never been caught for DUI, but just as many of you, I could have been. It's stupid to drink and drive, but I do it anyway. Sooner or later, I'll pay for it and so will others. I know one thing--in NC, if you're stopped and they want to test you, you better blow. I have several attorney friends who say never refuse the tests. They can get you off many times if you do, but you're going to have trouble if you don't. BB

I would have to say that they have not gotten out of hand but the but the people who inforce them have! I have heard rumors that MADD gives officers money for their DUI convictions! Like I said, I have only heard the rumor! If they keep dropping the BAC, it will soon be where if you walk by a drink, you will be passed the legal limit! I know the laws are to protect people! I have had a friend killed by a drunk driver! But I know several people who can have one glass of wine and get shitty, but they would still be under the legal BAC! I know others that can drink a case or two and you would never think that have had too much to drink!

The same trooper that pulled me, stopped my best friend for going to far at a stop sign before coming to a complete stop! His vehicle was half past the stop sign! He smelled beer on his breath and that was it, took him in for DUI! This same trooper has a reputation around here for having the most DUI stops! He will only work the night shift and to me that is out of control!
