  • Problem with playing video files.

Not all my video files are messed up. Just some of them and I don't know why. I ran the latest updates for windows and now some of the files are jacked. I can see the fiile the audio runs fine but the image is corrupted. Kind of looks like all the primary colors are partialy seperated and distorting the image. The image is noticibale but it's got this like rainbow wavey images all over it. Kind of like when you turn your TV to one of the channels you don't pay for and you can kind of see the channnel but it's fuzzy.

if it happened after you ran the updates try a system restore, it could help.

could you redownload one or two of the files and see if the new ones work. it might be your video card or your driver settings was changed with the update?

Well it had something to do with upgrading to the window media 9 player.

I noticed on some of my porn if I try to jump ahead in the film that it takes 10 seconds to clear up but it kind of looks like what you are describing but it fixes itself.

Dude just download a new codec pack. The newest Divx codec pack should do it. I can get it for you if you would like.
