it started with HOT FRESH galic knots. a whole basket of them. 6 big ones. we polished off those before the drink order was in lol. We each got a yeung ling (spelling). the beer was cold and was carbonated perfectly. They brought us a second basket of knots but we didn't touch them yet, we wanted room for the meal. then came the house salad with one of them best italian dressings I have tasted in a long time. I ordered a Bowtie primavera-it had bowtie pasta in a marinera sauce with sauteed veggies (zucchni, mushrooms, oninons, broccli and other goodies). my wife had stuffed shells. we had no room for desert but there are leftovers. MMM MMM :agree:Originally posted by hitmansb
Stonecold...what did you have to eat at the restaurant? Don't leave out any details either (I love food stories).

Yeungling is a micro-brewery in your area- actually closer to Scranton, Pa., I believe. Very rare stuff around the rest of the state. I sold a case to my friends in Binghamton once for 60 bucks! I couldn't believe how they actually went into a bidding war over it, lol. It was like Christmas for them! LOL. Sounds like a geat meal. Now I'm hungry, thanks. Maybe a quick meal before I go out tonight

It is from PA but not a micro brew. It's "Americas oldest beer" and it shouldn't be too tough to find in NY anymore, they reopened the NY market in 2001. I'm originally from PA and when I moved herre to Florida, I couldn't find it anywhere and then what do ya know? They buy the old Stroh's plant right up the road and now brew it here in Tampa. Not many people care for it though. A lot of the bars that tried it on tap for awhile ended up stopping. :mad:Originally posted by Primal Instinct
