i am workin full time construction, and im findin it kinda difficult to work up the energy and motivation to hit the gym after a 9 hour day of physical work. and even when i make myself go, i dont feel like im putting 110% into it. i was just wonderin if anyone has had this problem and some suggestions on how to fix it. maybe im just being a big fat wuss but it might help to write this shit down. any help is great.

Have you considered working out before you go to work?

I used to work out in the morning - takes some getting used to, but you can actually get pretty good workouts as one is usually fresh, especially mentally, in the morning.

I did landscaping when I was young. Had to be at work by 5am. Wouldnt get back until about 5-6pm. There is no way I would be able to grow on that schedual. Killing myself all day and then hitting the gym would be muscle breakdown. I quit. My body is more important then that BS.

With that much excertion during the day it wiil be extremely difficult to make any gains. But working out in the morning would be the best solution if quitting your job is not an option.

well as a little update, after writting this post this afternoon, i decided that i wasnt going to let my self slack. i know its going to be very hard, ill just have to eat more and push myself harder. i just got back from one of the best work outs ive had in weeks. i might have to cut out the social life a little but being in the gym is more important than that anyway. thanks for the help, im really considering the morning thing.
