Now, im a big sports fan, but not to much of basketball...Im kind of a bandwagon fan with the TWolves and there latest playoff run. Ive watched alot of NBA playoff games this year, mostly the Lakers and the TWolves....and Ive come to a conclusion that Shaq cannot be stopped?

I mean, if you got the ball down to shaq everytime, and I mean, EVERYTIME...could LA legitimately lose???? The guy is so big, so strong....I dont know??? maybe Im wrong here, and some BBall fan out there that knows more than me, can tell me differently.......but isnt the only way to stop Shaq, is hope he stops himself???either he slams the shit out of the ball over some poor white guy, or he goes to the Free Throw Line????

    Little help here lol

The only way to stop, or maybe slow down, someone like Shaq is to double or triple team him in the post. The problem is, that leaves a lot of guys open, and with people like Kobe on your team, you've got a gimme jumpshot if that happens.

Stopping Shaq one-on-one is well nigh impossible. If you don't double team as soon as Shaq gets the ball, you pretty much are in trouble. Olowokandi in general will get crushed by Shaq. Probably the only person who has sorta played Shaq reasonably has been Yao Ming.

Not to mention, Shaq is an excellent passer.

It is an impossible matchup problem - no question about it.

I kinda think he gets away with alot of fouls because his size, a bump from Shaq would be a foul on anyone else but the ref's let it go cause he's so bulky and they don't want to hear him complain.

I agree that he gets away with murder....

The refs have to call - the pros are good enough where they adjust based on how the calls are going. So, Shaq is playing within the parameters that the refs have established and is taking advantage. If they call it closer, he will have to adjust.

It is an intriguing point - he does have a decent jump hook from 3-6 feet and one wonders how he would fare if he was forced to depend on it more. But why shoot a 5 foot jump hook when you are allowed to take it strong to the hole and dunk it lol....
