You never know. I work at Gold's gym in a similar place. But originaly they were just nameing it Park Place Fitness (that's the street it's on). But no one was signing up during pre-sale. So they decided to make it Park Place Fitness, and then in smaller letters, Powered by Gold's Gym. All of a sudden people were "whoa really, you guys are part of gold's?" and the sign up dramatically were increasing. Then it eventually went to Gold's Gym and Park Place (or san mateo is how we answer the phone since that's the city it's in). It has one of the best openings ever. It's been open since Jan. 7th. We are already close to the end of 7000 in membership numbers. Now granted some arn't there. Some are the ones who baught it and never use it, some has cancelled. But for the most have retained a great quantity. I think origanally people expected it to be just kind of a "whatever" gym because of the name. Not quite like a curves but maybe something like a local Balley's
