I would imagine this is one of the few BBers are are mentally challanged. There was another guy's pics that were floating around on the board and he was built similar. He had his own web site and everything. Many people wrote to him and flamed him big time. Well, the kid turned out to be mentally retarded and many guys found themselves sending apologies.
I hear you Shortz, personally I have worked with challenged athletes....therefore....

Question to anyone who wants to answer:

If this was the Special Olympics of bodybuilding for the mentally challenged then would we all still think it was fun to make fun of him?

Indeed he doesnt look like a body builder, and most challenged athletes look better than he does!

btw, IMHO, if you are not in shape, you shouldn't step on stage. it's somewhat disrespectful of the sport and making a mockery of yourself.

bodybuilding shows aren't before and after contests.

as far as whether they are a special olympic athlete... i just don't think that special athletes should compete in the same even as a regular athlete. it's not fair to either athlete. both these pictures were from NPC shows.

I think going to a show like that is very disrespectful. I don't even remember seeing people in the crowd that looked like that at the one NPC show I have attended.

I agree with the last three posts.

I professionally show horses, so is it then, disrespectful to the sport of show jumping, that an average or less than average athlete (horse and rider combonation) compete against the pros?

There are, in every sport people who think that they are amazing athletes and choose to compete regardless of their athleticism and condition against the best or better than average.

I guess I just think that if you want to show, you should be able to, because maybe you *think* you are THAT GOOD to do it.

to me, the sport is about the asthetic of a beautiful body. the symmetry of the muscles and lines. the fact that you've lost enough bodyfat to show your muscles to the audience and to be able to be poised enough to stand on stage.

the people posted in this thread have obviously not done either. and if they're here to exhibit their weight loss, it is the wrong arena b/c as i've said, bodybuilding shows are not before and after contests.

that being said - if i looked like ass before i stepped on stage, i sure as hell would wish that someone knocked my upside the head before i stepped up there and made a fool of myself.

half of it is having people be honest with you about how you look before you step on stage.

When people work there ass off with diet, training, tanning, posing etc. and somebody like this shows up it pisses me off. I dont care if he "thinks" he is good. when he got to the show back stage are you telling me he didnt realize what he looked like?
