What do you guys think of the trade rumors of Shaq in Dallas?

If I were the Lakers, there is no way Shaq goes to another Western Conference team. He is going to have a chip on his shoulder about the whole trade and the last thing I want to face in the playoffs is a motivated Shaq.
I think I would hire Rudy T and let him pacify Shaq and get him to drop the trade stuff. -
True, I heard something about a 4 team trade in the works with the whole thing... sounds intresting

As stupid as it would be for the Lakers, it looks like Dallas is the frontrunner in the Shaq sweepstakes. Buss has this unwavering faith that he can keep winning as long as he has Kobe....but if you put a team out there with Shaq, Nowitzki, Nash....they will be lighting up the Lakers next year.Comment

Cuban over last two days said this, about Nash cause his contract is up, "We want him, he's our man," ie, he'll get him signed.

Well, after the Nash trade, who the heck knows.
One interesting news item they had a story on the news last night sports section, on of all things, Shaq's wife, she said over and over she wanted to go to Dallas, no kidding, and it was all about selling her house working with her realator.
Stars seem to be saying his is coming.
Although little disappointed in Nash thing, only guess is, they had to do it to get Shaq, the only thing that would make any sense.
Other thing is that Nowitski and Nash are joined at the hip, best buddies, they say it all the time on news.
Maybe they want Nowitski to be buds with Shaq?

I think it would be a horrible decision to get rid of Nowitski also. It completey tear apart the team they have worked very hard to create.Comment

Shibby - it would tear the team up, but with Nash gone, they can't run and gun as well as they could before anyway... might be time for a good change. I don't think it would be a bad thing to get rid of Nowitzki.... if you're bringin in the diesel. Even if they get Nowitzki, Finley, Walker and others for Shaq, they'll never get his even out of it IMO.
Meat - I dunno where Kobe's gonna go... he's the cream of the free agent crop. I would have said Phoenix, but with their recent Nash acquisition, I don't think it'd be possible anymore. Clippers have enough to get him there, but I dunno if he'll go just because of a lack of talent... he'll shine, but as a team, they'll still lose. Not to mention the Lakers can give him a longer contract worth an extra $35 mil.....

Yeah I don't think the Clippers would do much even with Kobe . Who knows....but yeah the offseason in the NFL and NBA this year have been pretty exciting. Can't wait to see what happens next.....Comment
