Mmmmmmmmmmmm...beef!

I can't wait for the 4th! We're gonna grill up all kinds of cow, pig and chicken! My mother-in-law's been in the hospital all week and has a request for baby back ribs on the 4th so of course I'll oblige her. I can't wait to start cooking! I have a saussage ring a friend gave me a couple of weeks ago he got from the Italian deli and I've been saving it for the 4th. It can't come soon enough!

Yes...the long week-end is upon us: this is the time to grill every meal of the day, drink ridiculous amounts of beer guilt-free, and spend as much time out in the sun as possible. There's only one problem for us Canadians, though:

Canada Day (July 1) is on THURSDAY. That means most people have to drag their asses into work on Friday, hangovers and all, then resume partying Friday night. I think any employer that doesn't just say to hell with it and shut down on Thursday and Friday is an A-hole. What's wrong with a 4-day weekend one a year?
