How was your 4th of July weekend

Now that the extended weekend is over, how was everyone's 4th of July. I had a blast. Any crazy stories guys?

Unfortunately I had to work...no crazy stories to tell.:(

:doh: that sucks man...I'm gonna have to do cardio pretty hard this week after eating like a slob all weekend.

We had a wonderful 4th of July party here. Lots of friends and family, pleanty of drinks and way too much food, a decent amount of fireworks. We had a water balloon/water gun fight, adults vs. kids. The kids had been filling up the water guns with hot tub water which was great because it wasn't cold but I figured we'd get them good and we filled ours up with cold water from the ice chest...the kids were shocked when they got blasted! I loved it.

As soon as it got dark the kids wanted to light off the fireworks so my friend went out there with them but the kids sent her back in to get some "adult" supervision. We teased her good about that.

The kids slept over at the neighbors house so the adults kept the party alive pretty late...we finally got to sleep around 8am and I was up at 11 when the kids called to say they were coming home. I was pretty exhausted but in a good mood at least. Later we left for the beach well after noon and got home around 9pm. My friend laid down to take a nap right away and then Stromba went for a nap too. I had 3 little girls to manage plus loads of wet towels, bathing suits, etc. After I finished taking care of stuff, I showered and then was hounded by the girls to put up a tent in the back yard. It's the first time using this tent so it took me nearly an hour to figure it out in the dark while I fought off mosquittos and was dripping wet with sweat. Finally the damn thing is up and I get the girls settled down with all their blankets and pillows and I went up for another shower. I come down to check on them and they're all watching tv in the family room. I was like...WTF? I asked them why they weren't in the tent and they said...Oh, it's too hot to sleep outside tonight. Grrrrrrrreat! So, I finally settle down on the sofa to watch some tv with them and I fell asleep right away.

When I woke up a little while later one of the girls wasn't there anymore and the other two were asleep. So I searched the house (twice) and couldn't find her. I started to get worried and noticed the back door wasn't locked and I freaked thinking she got in the hot tub by herself but was relieved when she wasn't there. Then I thought, let me check that damn tent (it's raining at this point), and sure enough, one little lump in the tent all by herself. I wanted to scream but I just laughed. KIDS!!!!

lol...sounds like a good time Puddles. Yeah don't think I was home at all. Gotta love those long weekends...nice to have em every once in a while though

Absolutely horrible. My girlfriend's little sister was killed in a car accident at about 5am on the 4th :( What a way to ruin a holiday for the rest of my life.
