thats a loaded question. Pretty much today there are two types of certifications- popular and quality. if you want a quality one go to www.exercisecertification.com if you want a popluar one then do anyone of the other ones that are just a weekend test.

ISSA is a good certification to get.. You can have them send it to you, take it online, or take it at a weekend seminar.. I'm working on my Performance Nutrition Specialist certification now, pretty intensive course.. ;)

Want something more advanced, go for ACSM, NASM, or NSCA.. I had the study guide for the NSCA CSCS exam, made my head hurt.. Reminded me of college bigtime..

What do you guys think about the American Council on Exercise (A.C.E) certification program? I am looking for the same info. I had read meat 12's reply on another thread and checked out his school. The program looks very nice and I am sure that they cover alot of material. Since it is a big price difference, in the end, is it worth the extra money?

I am working on my A.C.E. certification right now as well and it's an excellent program and a very reputable certification.

Whatever you do, stay away from ndeita. It's a short, worthless course and all they want is money. A girl at my gym has this cert and is clueless. Not to mention, this is a dance organization.

Yeah there are alot of crap certifications out there make sure to read up and em before you spend money on one that is worthless
