Jimmy Williams fired as manager of Huston Astros

With the amount of money they spent this year on free agent pitchers Andy Petit and Roger Clemens plus the Killer B's in the middle of the lineup I cannt believe they are just .500 at the break. Another kick in the ass for Williams was his relationship with Richard Hidalgo, who was benched and wasnt played. Since being traded to the NY Mets he has hit more homeruns in 3 weeks than he did in the previous months with the 'Stros.

guys I hated him when he managed the sox he plays station to station baseball always waiting for the three run homer doesnt do the little things to move the runners along never stuck with a lineup one day he would have nomar hit third he would go 5 for 5 then the next day he would hit lead off and wind up going o for 4 then the next day sit him and play mike benjeman plus he didnt know how to manage a bullpen

You know I figured with Houston pretty much out of the race the Cubs would have the division by a long shot, but all the damn injuries are killing em...plus the fact that St. Louis is practically unstopable right now.

Cubs suck!!!!! There are alot of managers out there that don't know what they are doing they just rely on there players to get it done and when the players aren't doing anything right away blame the manager
