The two Newby's places on thomas drive are cool... I grew up there and worked at Mr. Newby's place before the divorce. I bartended at Mr's. place. It's a liquor store with a bar in the center of it, and then there's a bar in the back. It was a live metal music bar, then a titty bar when I worked there. Dunno what it is now, I havent been there in years.

Mrs's. is a big liquor store with a bar in the center, no separate bar. Lots of locals hang out at either one, so that's always fun. Both bars have dart boards if you play and Mrs's has a pool table.

Spinaker and La Vela are gigantic super clubs (mostly the tourists). I saw Ronnie James Dio play on a stage by the pool at La Vela.

Petticoat junction and Miracle Strip are two different parks. the junction closed probably 20 years ago.

I rode the roller coaster at miracle strip for an hour with the guiness book of world records title holder Jim King for riding the most consecutive days.

Thanks everyone! I'm back now. I'll post some pics within the week. I had a blast at La Vela & Spinaker's! It's funny because the stamp for free pass at Spinaker's says "booty"...lol. That seemed pretty fitting. The damn cover at La Vela was 20 and up as the night went on. They have to be making a killing htere. It was well worth it though.

Candle, Me and AP were down there this past weekend also. We only went to La Vela Sat night. If you were in the main dance floor Sat night then i'm sure you saw AP and just didn't know it. Cause she was on stage dancing all night and she was the only good looking girl there. That was the 1st time i went to La Vela and eveyone was ugly. It was almost depressing. lol But they played damn good music. Also this is La Vela's last summer. Its already bought out and they're tearing it down and going to rebuild it down in Laguna Beach away from all the motels/condo's. The reason it was bought out is becasue they're trying to clean up the trash in town and make it nicer like Destin. Although they'll never be able to compete with Destin. All PCB has is La Vela, other than that its a dump. But if they tear La Vela down and move it down to Lauguna Beach that'll help some. With all the Motels/condo's going up right now. It'll definetely look alot different in another 5 yrs.

Also, i know the workshop you're talking about that you went to. We also just happened to have had a condo booked for that weekend in PCB. AP was emailed about that workshop but I told her no. Cause we are picky about what modeling stuff she does. It sounded to me like a bunch of younger photographers trying to get some good looking girls to take pics of. Cause their work individually isn't good enough for a models to want a shoot from. So they call it a party/workshop/photoshoot for a weekend then it sounds more insticing. I could be wrong but better safe than sorry. The reason I say all that is because since she just got back into modeling she gets 50 emails a day with offers with this and that so you have to sift through it all and find out whats good or whats crap. And they're alot of perv photographers just wanting to take pics of pretty girls (of course I don't blame them though lol). And she'll only work with a photographer that has alot of good background, damn good portfolio. And also that he doesn't shoot nudes so then we'll know he's not just another perv phoptographer and he actually has class.
