  • KY and side effects??

My girl is having some pain and discomfort. She thought it was a bladder infection but it isn't going away and she said the pain isn't coming from where a bladder infection should come from. She thinks maybe it was the KY we used the other day? I have looked on the net but haven't found much info. Any ideas?

Never heard of problems from KY. That's what most doctors use in exams too. Maybe she got a UTI. If it keeps hurting or gets worse or develops a fever she should see the doc. In the meantime, have her drink cranberry juice (not the cocktail as it's loaded with sugar).

You hit the nail right on the head Puddles. I figured the KY was ok, it is water based. Thanks for the reply. She went to the doc and got some meds.

Do you think it had something to do with us having sex while she was on her period??

Having sex during her period would not cause a UTI but sometimes having a lot of sex will irritate the urinary tract leaving is more prone to infection. She should also make sure she pees after you two are done having sex to flush out any lube or bacteria that can start to enter the urinary tract, for women who are prone to uti's, this is often a great preventative measure.

some women are sensitive to nonoxynol 9 the spermacide on condoms and in some lubricants, it can cause UTI like symptoms.
