Well the people in baltimore must be a bunch of jackasses because its easy to see that, that is a hiena. I would bet a million that some jerk had it as a pet and couldnt control it. It is not in very good shape but it is a hiena.

Anyway, they really are a bunch of idiots thinking that they have some "new" species of animal running around.. But, that's what happens when you have a bunch of city folk making guess about wild animals.

Actually carvivores like hyena's DO eat grass occasionally. It's usually a sign of stomach upset. Dogs do the same thing.

Not all hyenas have spots. The most common species is the spotted hyena (also called laughing hyena) but there is a smaller species called the brown hyena that this animal resembles. In spite of the hyena's dog like appearance, it is actually more closely related to the cat family than the canine family.

I bet this was someone's exotic pet that was abandoned or ran away.
