KC and Pats are the pick of the litter....but if I had to toss down a small side bet just for funs, I'd say what the hell and put a couple of bucks on the ...... Cowboys. A dark horse has got to come through eventually, why not the 'Boys?
Let's ask ourselves a question...who was in the Superbowl last year?
Carolina and New England
New England returns a great team and added a great running back.
Carolina returns a bone crushing defense and two running back offense. They are this years 2000 Baltimore Ravens.
Indy has no chance. No defense, offense doesnt win the big games. KC is in the same boat. Eventually someone figures out how to stop your offense. For the Rams (the best offensive team in history) the secret was to rush the passer until his head explodes. For KC, thier O was figured out late last season. Indy has a questionable running game.
And why not the Boys? They are old. Older than the dirt that made the hills that made the mountains. Vinny is a member of AARP and Eddie George hasnt had a good season since the Clinton administration. The D in Dallas may win them a few games.
Denver is a good pick. Thehome field advantage is great for a high altitude team playing at freezing temps. The defense is much improved with Bailey and the running game is always solid because the system is solid.
Carolina lost a good chunk of their O line which is a big deal since they leaned on Stephen Davis all last season to get them their big yards. Without the necessary blockers, he won't have as good a running game this season.
I'm liking New England, KC, and Philly myself
Well, it looks like the odds makers had it right on this time, no suprises here... and if it their prediction holds as true the Pats will have begun the modern dynasty.
