We're fine but I'm very worried about my mother. I got a call from her friend this morning who can't get ahold of her but she spoke with my mom around 4pm yesterday and my mother was afraid to drive so she decided to stay in her mobile and hide in a closet. She lives in Punta Gorda which is where the storm made landfall. I'm trying to call the sheriff's office there and the lines are busy. I want to drive down there but Stromba said the roads will be blocked and I won't be able to get through. The news said there were some people who didn't get out of the mobile home parks and they didn't survive. I can't believe she didn't leave.

I'm looking for urso8up...he lives not far from there. I hope he's ok.

I called FOX news and the roads are clear enough to travel down, so Stromba and I are heading down to Punta Gorda. Hopefully we'll find my mom and we'll help with the clean-up in her neighborhood. We just saw a park that looks like hers in the news and some of the homes are ok, some are not. They're all old people so we'll do what we can to help out.

Damn Puddles, I just read on CNN that Punta Gorda is where 'several fatalities' happened. They ordered 60 body bags. http://www.cnn.com/

Just heard that they had gust of 173mph. That would make it stronger then Hurricane Andrew. Also heard that the estimate for damage is over 15 billion.
