  • A late review. The Village.

Dont read if you havent seen it yet.

Me and sana went and saw The Village for the first time last night.

That movie has got to be one of the worst movies I have ever seen. Parts where creepy but as the movie went on it got worse and worse. It was easy to see what the twist was by like 15 minutes into the movie. Then the father sends his blind daughter into the woods with the feeling that love conquers all so thats why she will succeed in the woods. He had already told the girl that it was all fake and yet they try and make us scared of a monster that they just told us was fake!! lol. Dumbest thing I have ever seen.

I agree with both of you. I did not like the movie at all. It wasn't what i expected to see at all. I was hoping that the movie would have been more scarier or exciting then what it was.

"you are my cherished one... thou aren't to be saddened by the muffled sounds coming from my pants"

        the dialogue was HORRIBLE.

The movie would have been awesome if the monsters were real.

Ebert gave it two thumbs up, I gave it the finger.

My friend saw it and he said it was the worst movie he had ever seen even quoted "If you were dumb going in to see this move then you'll leave much dumber then you were before and if you weren't then you are dumb after seeing it"

I won't even rent it on DVD after hearing him say that and seeing the reviews.

After seeing the movie I agree that my money would have been better spent on AVP. The only redening quality of the movie was the wardrobe IMO. Those green hooded things were cool...lol

i saw that at a friends house 2 days ago and that was horrible. a predator and a guide become pals, awwww.... i thought the village was good, his best movie yet. there are clues throughout that would give away the twist but don't start till after half the movie. and the father said there was talk that there monsters did exist and that's what made their story all the more convincing to the villagers. if you notice the costume in the shed had a pig's head and looked fake, the monster at the end was totally different and looked scarier.

no way, it was the same damn costume. and it was IMHO some of the WORST dialogue i'd ever heard in any movie bar none.

                            lousy flick.

oh pish-posh. i'm pretty sure it was different, the 2nd costume had more of a "man" look to it. even the first on was different it resembled a porqupine/rat creature.
