my checking account got hacked.

by a company called Identity Watchdog. They only took 79.50 but still. I live in Jersey and my bank said it was a purchase made in California with my debit card of which is in my wallet. Weird. I'm very careful with my financial info but somehow these folks managed to get it anyway. There has been a few other people hit by them too. I did a google search and found a few reports on them. So if your missin some dough and you see their name on the transactions you're being robbed! I had to immediatley cncel my debit cards and get new ones. People suck. Whatever happened to just working for money?

There was something similar going on at my bank. A PC was hacked from a well known company. All card holders whose numbers were in the system had their cards immediately cut off. Luckily they did it in time.

It is my understanding that the bank can be held responsible for a transaction like this. Also, $79 from a few hundred people really adds up. They knew it would be easier to get away from small portions than cleaning everyone out.

Fraud is such a pain in the ass. I had one credit card that was used for a trip overseas, of course I wasn't responsible for any of it financially, but what a PIA it was notifying the companies that were automatically billing to that card every month. Similarly, we had a company check copied and cashed, now every time we write a decent size check the bank calls us to verify that we actually wrote it. We also had a $20,000 sale come back to us with the c-card company saying it was fraud, someone got ahold of someone else's info. and changed the mailing addy. Fortunately we called and verified the addy with the bank so it was the bank's fault and we didn't have to eat the loss. I hate lazy people who make a living by stealing from others!

You know something not to long after I read this I checked my account and guess what the fuck happened,THE DAMN SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME,different company but the same damn thing happened to me,I checked my account and 2 transactions from a credit card billing company called IPay-Epoth $29.95 each($59.90 total)was on my account sheet,I never purchased anything from this company or anything related to this company,I did aquire an email address and warned them if they didn't give me back my money I will file credit card fraud charges on them plus I have to wait until monday to go to my bank and get this fixed if they aren't going to give me back my money.

I had a virus problem not to long ago so I think this virus had something to do with it or some damn spyware shit but this is the first time this happened to me so ladies and gents always keep track of your checking account if you have one and make sure there aren't any unathorized transactions on there :mad: :mad:

i keep money in banks checkign acc tonly gets monbey when i write checks out secondly i dotn use no bedit or cc's and no financila shit onlien not tha id know how to work it if i was putting it on the cpu lol
