I have gotten out of every single ticket I have ever had this way. Most of the time, the cop doesn't even show, so getting a lawyer is not necessary.

What if the judge asks who your attorney is and has the clerk call his office and asks why he is not in court with his client? They will do that!! I don't think that's a safe approach. #1 and #2 are fine, but I think it's a risk using #3. BB

why not find someone who knows a cop, like a friend or a relative that knows cops and ask them if u can have them removed. Thats what ive done here in my city and if u know people they can help out. Cause if u get a lawyer dont u have to pay the guy too, so it basically comes out the same.

Easier said than done. Yea, unfortunately you do have to pay the lawyer, but if things go well, and the ticket gets dropped, then the savings on the insurance in the future is well worth it, otherwise you pay the ticket and the increase insurance fees for the next two years. Or is it three before a point falls off? May be different here in CA.

Yup, It's not paying court costs and the fines, etc. It's what the Ins. Co. can do to you for three years. One speeding ticket will probably raise your insurance rates better than 50%! BB

guys, its the discretion of the insurance company whether that ticket will count or not.
never listen to a copp when they say shit like "oh, this wont effect your insurance, thats bullshit.
but in california you can take the drivers class to get tickets removed.
and every insurance company is different. some go back 3 years on your record, others 5 years and even some 7 years.
and the company i work for, a speeding ticket might make your rates go up by 100 dollars or so for your 6 month premium. but again this is different for every company.....some companies will drop you if you get even 1 ticket.

now thats crazy, 3 fricken years and paying 50% more. Now i know not to break laws while driving.


I could imagine what a dui will do, land me in jail, community service, fines, and higher insurance. Oh and suspended license.

Not to mention you still haven't hit 25 years old yet. You're in a higher risk bracket as far as the insurance adjusters are concerned.
