A rainbow's progression...

Something good has come out of this hurricane! :)

We had the most beautiful double rainbow here tonight! We watched it from the very beginning until it dissapeared, which took all of about 4 minutes. It wound up being a double rainbow but the second one is not showing up in the pics,

Then I went outside and it started to drizzle. I pasted two pics together so we could see the whole rainbow...it was fantastic! Towards the left side of this pic you can see the beginning of the second rainbow.

with floridas luck, the hurricane will pick up a huge pot of gold and whip the coins around at 150mph killing people as they flee the bullion onslaught. but it is a pretty rainbow!!! :)

Just after I took that last picture I went to get my daughter out of the shower so she could see the rainbow. By the time she got to the window it was gone and the rain started pouring down. Now it's black outside. We're in for a ride and a half with this storm!

Just saw on the news where some trees came down on some power lines in Tampa already. We're getting some strong wind gusts! Hope we keep our power at least tonight. The storm is moving so slowly that the eye wall is expected to land over Tampa around 3pm tomorrow. Basically it's taking 24 hours for the storm to come and go by one spot.

Yeah you can sort of see the second one in the first pic. Is that the street you live on? There are some big houses.

Yeah, we were not happy when that big house went up across the street...it blocks our view of the golf course. We hoped for a one story. We were the third house built on the block about 4 yrs. ago and had empty lots all around at first. Now the neighborhood is completely built up, but damn, that first halloween with empty lots all around...it was pretty creapy. I loved it! LOL

Yep that'd be us. Lost power for several hours late afternoon early evening.
I'd heard reports that it was a transformer that blew though.
