  • Air Nat'l Guard and Bush

Get this, the drudgereport.com has link stating that Bush's questionable military records data may have been forged because the text that the new documents show wasn't available at the time it was written!

You know I gotta tell ya, I don't give a damn if Bush sat in safety tent made of platinum and watched war highlight films. I would still have more faith in him than Kerry.

That's funny, I have a 40 year old typewriter that does superscript.

Anyone have a link to an image of this document?

Who gives a shit, Bush, Kerry and ALL politicians are garbage. You just have to vote for the one who stinks the least. In my case I'll vote for Bush--AGAIN! Like you say, he's a better choice than horse face. BB

I know what you're saying but if you dont go on the past, then the only way to judge what they'll do in the future is by listening to them. Politicians will say anything.

If his military records are forged to gain support, then he should most deffinitely not be president. It amazes me that you wouldnt care if he had fake military records. I agree not delving into personal matters is important, but this is public domain and intricately connected to the military and our country. If it is fake we should know.

I think you misunderstand the situation. No one is claiming that all Bush's military records are forged; only a couple of unflattering memos that could have been planted to smear Bush's military record.

Within the last couple days, some memo's have surfaced supposedly written by Bush's comanding officer that are unflattering to Bush to say the least. Now, at least one computer expert is saying that they are forgeries. The comanding officer's son also says his father would never have written such unsigned memos and neither would any officer in their right mind. The superscript they speak of is not just a superscript but a superscript of lesser font size; like a 12 point font with a 10 point superscript. This is characteristic of a document produced by MS Word; not a typewriter. I highly doubt that Gort's 40 year old typewriter can do a smaller font superscript.

If these memos are forgeries, it reflects badly on the Kerry campaign since it will look like they forged and planted the memos to try to sully Bush's military records. Perhaps in retaliation for Swift boat ads and such that have cast Kerry's military record in question. I don't think Kerry would have done that because he isn't that stupid but many will draw that conclusion anyway. I wouldn't put it past groups like Moveon.org now. Those slime balls will do anything to defeat Bush in November and the ends justify the means.

Knowing the past is very important. Imagine if Hitler was alive and running for President, but nobody knew or cared about his past.

He skipped his physical. How does that equate to refusing a drug test? Now you are inserting your own reasons.

No one has come forward from Alabama who says they saw him; so what.

What does being the last pilot to train on the F102 have anyting to do with anything? Someone had to be the last one to train on them. How does that reflect poorly on Bush?

Do you think flight experience is the ONLY criteria for being selected for flight training? How about aptitude, reflexes, eyesight and a jillion other criteria. Again, how does that reflect poorly on Bush?

The last two questions have absolutely nothing to do with Bush. How does Kerry winning metals reflect poorly on Bush or his service record?

                        1) Join the military and try to "skip a ohysical" see where you end up

                        2) If I was in the Alabama National Guard for damn near two years I'll bet my ass I could find at least one SOB willing to say they saw me there

                        3) He trained in a plane AFTER it was scheduled for decom. This aircraft was being used as an auxillary to deployed forces in Vietnam for Northern Hemi support. No one else was training on this aircraft. He could have choosen one of the other 7 f*ing guard units that TX has. Others deployed to Vietnam, only his stayed at home

If only 1 of these things on my list had occurred...CO-INKY-DINKY

But All 3!--You're wearing blinders if you cant admit that something here smells like shit

And, so, what does it add up to? NOTHING!! Who gives a shit, you can drag up just as much crap about Kerry. They're both politicians, thus, they are both asshole jerks. So who do you vote for? The one who, IN ALL RESPECTS, can do the job best---BUSH!! Kennedy, Johnson, Carter, Clinton, especially Kennedy and Johnson fucked this country up so bad we'll never recover, but all were born fuck ups. We have had only one real President since Eisenhour and that was Ronald Regan. All others, democrats and republicans both sucked. Except the republicans sucked the least. BB

                            1) Join the military and skip a physical and you will end up exactly where Bush did. He lost his flight status and was reprimanded. I still don't see how that equates to refusing a drug test.

                            2) This is neither here nor there. If he had gone AWOL, he would NOT have received and honorable discharge no matter WHO his father was.

                            3) I don't think you choose which unit you are a part of. You are placed where they want you when you join the Guard. The fact that other units were deployed to Vietnam doesn't mean anything except in the minds of conspiracy theorists. He got lucky; good for him.

I haven't got blinders on; I just don't deal in conspiracy and inuendo. I go on the facts as they are recorded. You haven't heard me disparaging Kerry's service either. The Navy records show that he won those medals; case closed for me. The fact is, I don't think a 35 year old war is what is important right now. We have other things more pressing like SURVIVAL. Muslim extremists want us all dead and I will be voting for the person who has handled that threat pretty much how I would have. That would be Bush.

                              1) That's what happened to him, not you or me. Tou or me would get an Article 15 or court martial. Reduction in rank and possible forfiture of pay and allowances

                              2) Obviously not...He did go AWOL and he did recieve an honorabe discharge. If you can make a logic leap that "Kerry's campaign planted forged documents" than I should be allowed this one

                              3) Yes, you do in fact choose your unit. When you apply for the guard you apply with specific guard units. He choose this unit. It was referred to as the "champagne unit" because of all the wealthy Texas businessmen's sons who seemed to almost exclusively make up it's flying corps.

VOte how you want. I agree, that what happened 30 yrs ago is not the most important thing in this race. Just wanted to get the record straight first
