Fresno State is actually supposed to be pretty damn good.
I know most either love Notre Dame or hate them. But I have to say their win over Michigan was tremendous. I cannot believe Darius Walker is a TRUE FRESHMAN.
BTW- I am die hard ND fan....bred on ND football since I was born.Comment

Yeah, I know.
He is such a motivating coach. All of the players just adore him. Rarely do you see a player give high 5's and jumping up and down when a good play is made. And RARELY do you ever hear a player comment that the main reason a game was won is due to stellar coaching.
South Bend can be brutal. Fans are impatient...me included. ND recruiting has really suffered since Holtz left. Let's just say Holtz had "special rules" that only applied to him. He was able somehow to get average academic players into the university....No coach since then has had that power.Comment

It's pretty ironic how i'm a notre dame fan and my brother is a wolverine fan. I used to get so much shit from him and my dad about how nd went down the toilet for years after holtz left. I thought powlus could carry the team when mirer and becton left. Guess not. But who's stomach is churning now. LOLComment

Holtz was the man. Although I didn't agree with many of his coaching tactics, he was an utter genius on the field. QB's can only carry a team so far. If they don't have the rest of the line to support them, they can only do so much.Originally posted by beefcake

I think they may surprise a lot of people this year. 2nd year in a row they have the toughest schedule in the NCAA. Can Michigan say that? No, they have people like Miami of Ohio and Indiana and Iowa in their schedule...REAL tough teams there. I think Iowa may be 1 of 2 top 25 teams they play this year. That's a schedule I'd be proud to play...NOT.:rofl:Comment
