The road warriors from Troy look to make it 3-0 SU & more importantly ATS on the season. I think they do soundly in what is my biggest play so far this year. NMSU is still missing its starting RB Tony Joseph, and the ground game has suffered because of it. Its top 2 RBs have 77 yards on 20 carries in two games. They have lost to both Cal and Arkansas by a combined score of 104-27. Adding insult to injury is the status of starting QB Buck Pierce, he left last weeks game due to an ankle injury and at this point he is very questionable for this game. The Aggies are also 6-13 ATS when playing on 6 days or less rest.
We all know what Troy has done so far this year by beating on the road what looks to be a pretty damn good Marshall team that almost upset Ohio St at home. Then the total domination of Brad Smith and the Mizzu Tigers in front of the nation on ESPN Thursday night football. Troy will also get the benefit of playing with 8 days of rest.
Not sure how NMSU is gonna put up many points against a very stout defense. Playing on the road isn’t going to effect Troy either since they’re use to playing much bigger programs then NMSU.
Give me Troy by at least 2 TDs.
