  • Computer people.

My brother's computer is doing something funky witht he web browser. It's coming up to a page called homesearch. I know it's not the searchpage.cc thing. Is there somthing new this could be?

Is he using microsoft explorer? If so then I believe he just needs to change the default homepage back. Click tools, then internet options and then set the homepage. Let me know if this isn't the case.

adware probably won't work if it keeps becoming your default homepage. If manually going in and changing it does not fix the problem, you'll have to run Hijack This. BUT...make sure when it is done doing its search and the results pop up, ONLY delete the "homesearch" files.

He's running netscape. I had him run adaware and spybot earlier and that didn't take care of it so I knew it was a hijack thing. So I told him to search and he found the hijack this. So now he needs to run it. Thanks blm I figured it was something like that.

i remembe that used to happen to mine alot before. Even with an anti-virus. Since i got roadrunner, that was the homepage but after a while some other page used to be there when we would log into the interent called LUCKYSEARCH. Damn shit was annoying as hell but i dont know how we took it off. Never came back. I have spybot on the comp, works well too.
