  • Then there was Jeanne

    Here we go again...

Fortunately, the bad weather isn't going to really start until late night/early Sunday morning so Puddles and Stromba should have a nice re-wedding day.

This storm was the worst one yet in my area. I went outside Sunday morning to tie my sons swing set down and the wind picked up and I was stuck Hunkered down behind my shed for about 5 mins or so. It was not fun.

I was up most of the night Sat., couldn't sleep with all the noise. I'm just glad we were able to finish the roof before it came through. We hammered the last nail in Saturday afternoon. Talk about cutting it close. :D

We had some serious wind and rain in my area! Power went out at 3am and came back on at about 5:30am, just in time for me to get up and get ready for work! I tossed and turned all night listening to the wind howl and rain smack the windows! I'm sick and tired of this shit!

It was an interesting storm to say the least. Wedding guests are still here due to the storm! No flights out of Tampa until tomorrow and a few people were stuck here yesterday because bridges were closed. As predicted, our wedding reception turned into a hurricane party! Many bottles of liquor and beer have been emptied, patio furniture brought in and out, odd creatures seen, hot tub used, no phone or computer service, and lots of food consumed. Just like before, a few small trees down in my neighborhood, but this time a few big trees came down too. My sister gave Stromba and I gift certificates for massages and the massage lady is on her way over now. :)

Being one of the stranded guests I'd have to say that was the most fun I've had in awhile except for the circumstances. I think Sweets exact words when I finally walked in the door this morning were "I don't know whether to kiss you or break my foot off in your ass"!

He was without power here since 10 or 11 yesterday morning and the power only just came back on about an half hour ago. We kinda discussed and were gonna ride it out here tonight but we also have the bulldog so any longer than that wasn't an option. We'd have had to find a hotel. Bully's don't deal very well with the heat and it was approaching very toasty in here. Poor Bill was panting like no tomorrow and looking so sad.

Lots of trees down here but at least we now have power back. :)

The funniest was walking through Ekerd's and Kmart and watching people reading the shirt and then containing giggles. My tattas were center stage today! :D

Sweets says he's gonna get a white t-shirt to match that says "Always Happy". ;)
