  • NCAA Football Champs--Whose Insane Now?

I remember a thread about who would win the national championship...most picked LSU or USC

I picked WVU and Louisville...I got all kinds of responses about non-BCS and WVU chokes and this and that. Well the Cards havent had an oppenet score on thier first team defense so far this year. They have two shutouts in three games, both vs BCS teams. Meawhile WVU got past Maryland and they are coming down the home stretch. Now just need WVU to beat BC and the Cards to beat the Miami Hurricanes and I'll be the smartest man on the planet :)

Anyone want to revise thier picks?

WVU's strength of schedule hurts them and UL doesnt play anyone other than the U, which will be a loss.

      BCS+Undefeated=National Championship
      1) Strength of Schedule only hurts you because you have a better chance of losing
      2) If the CARDS can get past ECU this weekend they'll beat the piss out of Miami

Or it hurts you because, they dont play anybody. They play what? 1 ranked team? and no one even knows if that team will be ranked at the end of the year.

If WVU goes undefeated, they still do not deserve to play for the National Championship.

neither of those teams has a true prayer of a national championship. usc is still playing strong, lsu isn't. my auburn tigers seem to be playing rather well themselves. everything's a toss-up at this point, but U of L and WVU aren't good picks

College football has no real national champions. They have a team that everybody gets together and says "oh think they'd beat this team or that team". That's why I like college basketball.

strength of schedule is no longer part of the ranking factor, nor is margin of victory.

I am assuming you werent talking to me? I said USC and Utah will be the only undefeated teams at the end of it all and USC will Play Georgia in the Natl Championship.

I think that is still pretty much in tact even though predicted on August 12th
