ANALYSIS:
I think you may be kidding yourself if you actually think that Odalis Perez is going to shut down these Cardinals bats. I do believe in the Dodgers, but I would fade them here in this spot big time. I wouldn't put to much value on the Cardinals colapse towards the end of the season. This team is still very powerful. The Dodgers can thank their late inning heroics for even making it to the playoffs. If the Dodgers get down to the Cardinals by 3 or 4 runs it's over. This Cardinal team is the real deal and that is why they are favored. The Cardinals are 3-0 when hosting the Dodgers this season, outscoring them 14-6.
Perez is 2-1 lifetime against the Cardinals with an ERA of 9.64 and a WHIP of 1.928. Williams is 4-2 lifetime against the Dodgers with an ERA of 2.65 and a WHIP of 1.000.
