Georgia Bulldogs -13
I don't think I could get anymore excited about a game. The Bulldogs are flying higher than the sky right now while the Volunteers are doing their best Roy Jones Jr. impression and are nearly down for the entire 8 count. All that is missing is that final knockout punch and Saturday will be the end of the Vols.
The Tennessee Volunteers exceeded most expectations this season until they ran into Auburn last week and got spanked 34-10. The Vols are now back down to earth and have to play a Georgia team riding on cloud nine. I have always said that no matter how good a freshman is, he will always make mistakes. QB Eric Ainge finally faced a good defense last week and threw 4 INT's. Now he has to hit the road for the first and is up against a very stingy Georgia defense. We all saw what happened to LSU last week and I don't see this being any different. RB Cedric Houston and company average 5.2 yards per carry but will face a Bulldogs D that allows only 3.9 yards per carry. After watching them play last week, I don't see the Vols scoring more than 10-13 points. They are 0-4 ATS and SU the last four meetings with Georgia. Add a few freshman QB's and you have disaster.
The Georgia Bulldogs are coming off a huge win over LSU last week. None of us thought they could do it but they did. I love what Mark Richt is doing with this team and the way he has them ready for big games. QB David Greene has been very very impressive passing for 8 TD's and only 1 int. He is up against a Tennessee that is very young and inexperienced. The Vols allow a whopping 8.7 yards per pass attempt and opposing QB's complete 61.1% of their passes against them. I also love what RB Danny Ware is doing this season, averaging 5.9 yards per carry. I know the Vols allow only 3.6 yards per carry this year but I see a big breakdown in this game. Richt has the key to the Tennessee treasure and his is not about to give it up. Georgia is 4-0 ATS and SU in their last four versus Tennessee.
