Twins win.
I am a huge fan of the Yankees to win most games in October but i'm sorry guys, it's time to fade them. Kevin Brown has pitched well enough to win games lately but the problem is his batters don't show up when he is on the mound. The Yankees are 1-6 in his last seven starts. They are 0-3 in his last three starts where Brown has an ERA of 5.40 and WHIP of 1.37. In those games, the Yankees have been losing by an average score 6-2. Brown has not faced the Twins this season but had a 4.57 ERA on the road. Carlos Silva is young and yes that worries me. However, the Twins always support him with their bats and I expect much of the same tonight. In his last three starts, the team is 3-0 and his ERA is 3.15 (WHIP of 1.40). In those games, the Twins are winning by an average score of 7-3 over opponents. In his only start versus the Yankees this season, Carlos Silva got shelled for 7 ER's in 5 innings of work. I am willing to overlook that since it was much earlier in the season and the Twins have won Silva's last six starts. The Twins were 10-5 at home this season with Silva on the mound. The Twinkies are also 11-4 in their last 15 home games. Big dog win here guys!
