  • More american civil rights abuses

Totally unjustified FBI involvement. I believe it is a clear cut case of McCarthyism. I am sure some of you will disagree though.

Is there proof this happened or am I just supposed to believe what someone says on some website?

Although I think that some people will find conspiracy in just about anything, the story seems believable to me.

My first line of work after this incedent would be to find out what neighbor it was that ratted for something so stupid. Next would be to make his life hell as legally as possible.

Some people just don't have anything better to do with their time. Sort of like the old woman that comes by my house everyday to make sure I don't have any dog shit in my yard, or to make sure that my car is parked properly.

BTW, I did find it funny that he didn't even attempt to ask for an attorney though.

Secrete Service actually; not the FBI.

Moot point I agree. That is utterly rediculous...if it really happened.

I have serious doubts that ever happened the way it was written. There's either much more to what the kid did, ie: talking to friends or others and making threats, even if in fun. Or, that this is totally a made up crock of a story, which is my best guess. But, if I'm wrong it is totally ridiculous. BB

here are a couple of other sites that I found.

http://www.clairewolfe.com/wolfesblog/00001020.html (I find this funny as they have a Terry Shiavo banner at the bottom)

That is the Secret Services job. They protect the president and his little sticker was perceived as a threat. So it has nothing to do with his freedom of speech. He can call GW names all day if he wants to but the second he says or displays something that might seem a little threatening, they step in. The reality of it is that it could be nothing or it could be something, the Secret Service has to find out which one it is.

Well I remember an old boss of mine telling me how he got a visit from the Secret Service because he put "Committee to Re-assasinate Kennedy" on the return address of a letter he was mailing to his friend.
