I'm Confused
I'm trying to get all this political stuff straightened out in
my head so I'll know how to vote come November.
Right now,we have one guy saying one thing.
Then the other guy says something else.
Who to believe. Let me see; have I got this straight?

Ahh, it's so confusing!

Every year an independent tax watchdog group analyzes the
average tax burden on Americans, and then calculates the "Tax Freedom
Day".
This is the day after which the money you earn goes to you, not
the

government.
This year, tax freedom day was April 11th.
That's the earliest it has been since 1991.
The latest day ever was May 2nd, which occurred in 2000.
Notice anything special about those dates?

Recently, John Kerry gave a speech in which he claimed Americans
are actually paying more taxes under Bush, despite the tax cuts.
He gave no explanation and provided no data for this claim.

Another interesting fact: Both George Bush and John Kerry are
wealthy men.
Bush owns only one home, his ranch in Texas.
Kerry owns 4 mansions, all worth several million dollars.
(His ski resort home in Idaho is an old barn brought over from
Europe in pieces.
Not your average A-frame).

Bush paid $250,000 in taxes this year;
Kerry paid $90,000.
Does that sound right?
The man who wants to raise your taxes obviously
has figured out a way to avoid paying his own.

Only 61 days until the election.

Libertarian doesn't mean that liberals would vote for them. Try and do some research before your post. If people voted for libertarian they would take more Rep votes than democrat.

If a theory or hypothesis is valid then it is valid. That cliche is for people who want the easy way out. People say the same thing about communism (it is good in theory but won't work) and they are wrong, it is terrible in theory because it goes against every economic and psychological principle that exsists and will always fail. How do you think our country was founded? Do you think it has always been this fucked up? The founding fathers were libertarians at heart. It worked we became the most powerful and economically strong nation in just about 100 years. But there was an erosion somewhere along the way who thought it was a good idea to mess with something good.

A theory or hypothesis can only be as good as the validity of it's initial assumptions. for expample, yes communism or socialism is a great theory , but humans are not good-they are greedy and evil, therefore the great theory falls apart. The erosion started at the very beginning when somebody made a bad assumption!

if you studied philosophy and logic you would see that that is flawed thinking. It is very "popular" thinking though. That you could even think that humans are greedy and evil is telling in itself.

Everything in it is a stupid twist.
The Serbian war was U.N. sanctioned and led.
Gee, they left out Kerry's wifes taxes.
Who ever said Bush destroying training camps in Afghanistan was bad ?
We got a tax break at the expense of the National Debt, and the cost of living has nullified it.

Tax rates on business are at their lowest level since the end of W.W.I.I. , why won't Bush give me that kind of tax break?
