Cardinals Runline -1.5 (-113) Too much chalk on the ML (-235 at some places)
This is it...the only game of the night and I know it's time to cash. After that huge win on the 'Over' last night and seeing the intensity the Cardinals are willing to play with, this is the only play with any value. At first glance I was going to lay some dough on the 'Over' but then thought otherwise. Here a few reason I like this so much...
-The Cardinals projected 9 starters are batting a combined .368 lifetime versus Pete Munro.
-Pete Munro was 3-6 on the road this season with an ERA of 5.29
-Matt Morris was lights out at home this season, going 9-4 (team was 12-4) with an ERA of only 3.69.
-Morris is 3-1 versus the Astros this season and has allowed only 9 ER's in 26+ innings of work.
-The Astros and the killer bee's are batting a combined .297 lifetime versus Morris but knows what it takes to win big games.
-Much like the Yankees, the Cards will ride their Game 1 victory into another big Game 2 win.
-Did you guys see that crowd last night? They were wild and the Astros were making mistakes all over the place.
-Scott Rolen is back...ENOUGH SAID!
-The Cardinals never win games by 1 run. In their last 5 wins, they have won by 2+ runs. That means for those of you taking ML -220, why not take the RL instead?
-Carlos Beltran is 3 for 14 lifetime versus Morris and to me, the Astros suck when he can't hit.
-The Cardinals have a much better, I mean much better bullpen should Morris not get the job done.
