  • height : weight ratio

I couldn't find anywhere to put this so I'll drop it in here.

I've been looking at peoples stats and pictures as well as routines trying to get some ideas on how to build up some good mass. While I was doing this I noticed that quite a few guys were under 6' and popping in at anywhere from 200 to 220 lbs or so.

For me I am 6'2 and I weigh 228 with 19% BF. I was actually wanting to drop weight but seeing as how I am smaller than what I thought I was I am trying to now hit around 240 or so. Is this a good wiehg tfor my height or should I shoot higher?

Man I hope this makes sense

Weight looks differnt on everybody. Its a matter of genetics. Someone with naturally wide shoulders and a thin waist can weigh 180lbs and look bigger then a guy that is 200lbs with small shoulders.

Dont set a weight. Just go by the mirror.

If you can do that great, but that would be tough. Depending on your ultimate goal, to really see any definition I think you need to get below 10% bf, which means you're down around 200. From there, you'd have to put on 40# of lean mass. That's a heck of a lot of clean weight to put on.

I'm 6'1" and come to grips with the fact that I'm probably never gonna be even 225. Everybody has different genetics and different potential. Sure anybody can weigh 250, but it only looks good if you can do it with keeping single digit bf%, in my opinion.

        Exactly right.

I have a 30" waist-it doesn't take much to make my shoulders/upper body look wide in comparison!

Well that makes sense. I'm not out to compete in shows or anything like that, I'm just trying to get a better look for wrestling i.e. cut down the BF% which i now know is clean food (man all I do is cook by the way).

I'm going to post some pics today or tomorrow just ot get opinions on what I should work aside from everything.

Right now I have a 38 inch waist with a 54 inch chest so I know I need to blast my lats and legs to at least make my waist look thinner

I'd love to get my waist back down to a 34 which would be awesome.
