Colorado State - 4 Wyoming
As everyone knows by now, CSU's QB Justin Holland is out which of course hurts. Home/Away stats for this game are a bit misleading, especially with Wyoming. If you look at it, on the road this year they only average 6.5 points BUT look who they played. A thriving Texas A&M team beat them 31-0, but last week they played BYU tough losing 24-13. Not to mention, this is a 'border war game' so we may see some Cowboy fans there. The running game for Wyoming averages 142.8 yards a game this year, and it's been coming along nicely. Honestly, I look for it to bust open a bit against this CSU rush defense that gives up 230.7 yards a game at a whopping 5.7 yards per carry. CSU's primary attack on offense is the pass. They average 290.7 yards a game through the air, but I say throw that out the window a bit since Holland is gone now. There will definitely be pressure on Caleb Hanie to step in and make some throws because he doesn't have a good running game to back him up (the Rams only average 82.8 yards a game on the ground at a miserable 2.5 yards a carry). I look for Wyoming to run the ball hard and control the clock, and as long as QB Corey Bramlet doesn't throw 4 picks again like last week...the Cowboys should win SU IMO.
BTW- The temperature will be in the mid to low 30's for this one.
