Ok, for the last month like once a week my computer will turn off and go to a black screen. It will say making space for virtual memory or dumping, something like that. Does anyone know what it is?

Also, im going to install those programs to elimante adware. If I install these programs like spy bot and stuff, will it delete my music from kazaa?

Plus my computer is slow as hell. When I click on a program, the program loads very slowly. Even my internet connection is slow, I have roardrunner and it goes slow now as well. Any suggestions?

First off bro dump Kazaa as it is loaded with spyware. The best two that I have found is Warez and Ares.

If you plan on dumping Kazaa make sure you take all of your files and cut them from your shared folder and paste them into another folder. This will prevent those files from being deleted with the Kazzaa.

Spyware progs have a parasite definition list much like anit-virus progs which they scour your harddrive looking for so you don't have to worry about any downloads getting picked up.

Also on the topic of adware, some parasites attach themselves to the registry key and thus are impossible to get rid of without having to turn off auto restore.

Let me know if I can help

Does the screen turn blue before the computer restarts?

Those errors are pretty nondescript and can mean about 20 different things. I had problems with my computer overheating when dust gathered on the CPU heatsink. I was getting random errors for a couple weeks before I figured that one out. It likely not spyware, but it's always good to get a spybot to remove that shit anyway. Uninstall any and all programs you don't need or use regularly. Then run anti-virus and spybot consecutively.

Now restart your computer in safe-mode (to get into safe mode keep hitting F8 during your computer start-up and you'll get to a menu from which you'll chose safe-mode). Windows will start up differently, and will take a little bit longer to start, sometimes about 5 minutes, be patient, I used to think the computer was froze, but it just takes forever.

I'm going to assume you have windows xp, if you don't, this may or may not work the same:
Once windows starts.....goto start > run > type "msconfig" in the box and hit OK > goto the "startup" tab.
Now each checked box is something windows loads upon startup, some of these you likely don't need, and may have been installed by spyware or a virus. But some of these you do need, like your anti-virus autoprotect. You must look at the name, and location of the file, which is under the "command" column, and judge which one does which. If you uncheck something important, when you restart your computer you can just run through "msconfig" again and recheck it.

Anyway, after you've done that, restart the computer, and upon startup from disk degragmenter. If you're using winXP....goto start > programs > accessories > system tools > disk defragmenter. Run the program on your C: drive, when that's finished, if you have any other hard drives/partitions, run it on them too.

All of that should speed up your computer substantially. Also, just make sure you have at least 500mb free on your hard drive, otherwise you need to get rid of some more stuff. And make sure you don't have too many tasks running on the bottom right of your screen.

If it's happening once a week it might be a scheduled disk clean-up running through windows. You can set the computer to automatically reorganize the files to maximize efficiency and space. I used to run a defrag manually but I remember there was a setting that would do it automatically.

I'll have to ask Stromba which program it was that we had that slowed down the computer badly, it was one of the programs designed to help protect it, I'm thinking it was McAfee, maybe this is why yours is running slow.
