  • Digital cameras-Whose got one and do you like it?

Looking to buy one very soon. I want a mid-range one. Nothing fancy and nothing crappy. I am not going to do anything special. At the most probably just email pics and print photos. Thanks for any direction. :)

I don't know the model off hand but I have a Sony and it's very good. It also takes movies. It's got a timer and red eye reduction. The quality of the pictures is very good even on lower resolution settings. I can usually get about 35 pics on the memory disk it came with and you can purchase larger memory cards seperately.

My first digi cam was a Sony that used floppy disks. I've never been dissapointed with a Sony product.

i got a canon ixus 400 its 4mega pixels and the picture quality is brilliant, it cost me about £300 but that was like a year and a half ago, canon make some really good digital cameras. there is a website called www.reviewcentre.com it has reviews of everything the digital camera section there would be a start,

          http://www.reviewcentre.com/consumer_reviews10.html

thats the digital camera review place.
you got a pc, its quick and easy to touch up and print your pics, but make sure you have a decent photo quality printer and some of that glossy paper sh*t.

            Silver Cyber-shot® Digital Camera
            DSC-W1

High-end optics combine with everyday ease of use to make taking a picture simpler than ever before.

            http://www.sonystyle.com/is-bin/INTE...DigitalCameras

High-end optics combine with everyday ease of use in the DSC-W1 Cyber-shot® digital camera. The DSC-W1 features a 1/1.8” Super HAD™ CCD and a 3X optical zoom Carl Zeiss® Vario-Tessar® lens, both come together to give you stunningly detailed 5.1 Megapixel (2592 x 1944 resolution) images. Other features include manual exposure control, 5 area multi-point auto focus and MPEG Movie VX video mode.

Even though it is packed with features, the DSC-W1 was designed to be incredibly easy to use. The huge 2.5-inch LCD monitor1, live histogram display, 6 scene modes, and PictBridge™ compatibility all combine to make taking a picture and making a print simpler than ever before.

This is a pic I took with the camera a few weeks ago. I reduced it by 50% to make it fit here. My camera also took the pic in my avatar...that's reduced a lot. LOL

We also have a sony cybershot... a DSC P100, 5.1 megapixels. We LOVE it!! It is very easy to use and fits perfectly in your hand. Has quite a few cool features and the pics look AWESOME!!! The pics look like they were from a professional, expensive camera. I think we paid around $500 for it, but we got a extended warranty and some memory sticks too! :^)

I will post a pic soon that I took of my dog...gotta open up my laptop first :)

If I cut it down too much with my shitty Paint program, it will get messed up.

If looking for something better, but still compact, Olympis makes some very nice, small cams.
