I love Halloween! Tonight I took my daughter and her friend and we did the pumpkin phantom thing. If you don't know about it, here's how it goes...
On a piece of paper on one side you have a picture of a pumpkin and on the other side is the note:
"MY DEAR FRIENDS:
You have been chosen as one this fine night.
By the Pumpkin Phantoms who're out-a-sight.
We send you these sweets to give you some joy.
So please spread this happiness for all to enjoy.
You must send two families goodies of sorts.
Or within 48 hours you'll break out in huge warts!
Put this orange sign in your window so you won't be hit again!
This isn't a game that you're trying to win.
The fun will go on until HALLOWEEN.
And if we are lucky we won't be seen.
So take your turn and continue the fun.

You attach a bag of candy or just lay the bag on top of the note when you ring the doorbell and run and hide in the shadows waiting for the people to come out and find it. It's such childish fun!
We hit 5 houses tonight and weren't caught by anyone. The kids had big rubber masks on (a gorilla and a monster) and dressed in dark colors so they couldn't be seen. I drove the get-away car. :D
