Actually, we have ours password protected because of the kid. I tried figuring it out one night to order a PPV movie for her and after about 20 minutes I gave up. Remotes are designed by and for men, I'll stick to the computer.

My sattelite cable is connected to the box, then to the vcr, then to the tv. The dvd is connected directly to the tv. You can probably borrow your dvd cable to hook up the vcr for the time being if you don't have an extra one.

All of the sound comes through the sterio speakers but there are seperate wires leading to the sterio for that. One set of video wires and one set of audio.
