You need Azureus. Go to http://azureus.sourceforge.net/
I've been using it problem free for about 6 months. It was suggested to me from someone who knows about internet laws. I guess Azureus doesn't use any sources that would prosecute for downloading music, but I was told to stop the upload after I had the complete file. It took me about six hours to download 1.36 Gb of info.

The problem is that for any P2P transaction like this, you have to reveal your IP address and it will be relatively easy (technically) for anybody interested (RIAA, feds, etc.) to figure out who is downloading what and then call the ISP with a subpoena to track the IP address to a name.
Much like Napster, etc. you use this stuff at your peril and hope that the authorities (feds, recording industry association, motion picture association, whatever) will not bother coming after the small fry. It will take time and money to track you and send lawyers after you, so if you are a small-time player in the downloading/distribution game, you will probably be ignored.
I think anyway you slice it, you are receiving a product that you did not pay for and I can't see how it can be legal. Not being judgmental here, just stating the way it probably is in a legal sense....
