Exactly, most of the ignorant people that vote in this country vote by either party lines, personality, or even the way the candidate looks. Not by their political platform. It's pretty pathetic.
A lot of those red counties are dirt without many people living in them.
Think of it this way, if the vote in Ohio had swung just 75,000 votes more to Kerry, Kerry would have won the Electoral College and the election. Even though George W would have 3.5 million more votes nationwide.

What I meant by that comment is that until it is a possibility that one of them could be taken seriously as a candidate and possibly win, would I feel that politics are fair and unpredjudiced.

More than 75,000 people live in my little ol' red city here in Wisconsin and about 150,000 in the county. Well I guess Kerry couldn't scrounge up enough dirt (as you put it) in Ohio to win this election.
