  • Going under the Knife

Ok today at 5pm I am going to get a vasectomy. I was wondering of anyone has ever gotten one and if so how much pain was it?

I have not had one, but allot of my co-workers have. Stay off your feet as much as you can and ice those babies down. You will swell and if you lift or stand on your feet all day it will cause you great pain from what I have seen. Good luck bro

I had mine 5+ years ago I waited in the lobby at the Dr longer than it took him to finish

I was told there would be pain (there was very very little)
I was given some nice pain killers (but really did not need them)
I was told I would not be able to drive home (I did)
I faked being hurt for a week it was great every one in my family was like awww poor ****** I loved every minute of it !

if your Dr is good at what he (or she) does you will be under the knife for about 20mins thats all worst part is if your Dr wants to show you what he/she cuts out (mine wanted to show me )

            best of luck

oh ps no sex for 6 weeks ! and my sudgestion to you try the plumbing first befor your wife does to make sure it does not hurt

A friend of mine at the gym got one. He took painkillers the first day, stopped taking them halfway through the second day, and was workign out again on day 3. Said there was almost no pain at all...would have had it done sooner if he'd known what a cinch it would be.

Well here is my update I had it done at 5pm on friday I was in there office for about 45 min. It only took 10 minutes from the time he did the first cut until he closed it up. (i was timing him just to see) No pain what so ever i went home sat and watched tv got waited on from the wife she got everything for me. Then the next day i tried to do stuff on my own and she wouldn't let me do a thing. That is hard for me to do because i can't sit still.
All in all it was not to bad No pain what so ever.
