  • Pistons/ Pacers Brawl

Guys I don't think I've ever seen a fight of this caliber in an NBA game. Fans attacking players, throwing chairs, drinks, popcorn, anything they can get their hands on. Players literally beating the hell out of the fans who attack them. This was nuts and everyone should definitely try to see the video of this madness if you can.

i posted a couple of videos in the gen forum, but the coverage on ESPN is the best.

Better than watchin a kimbo fight.

The fans who got punched will probably have a line-up of lawyers at their doors in the morning.

oh most definitely... but most of them weren't hit for nothing so their prosecution will be pretty useless

Artest possibly... he hit the wrong guy for the initial bottle that made him jump up. The guy that actually threw it was the guy in the hat you could see behind him. That one guy could probably easily make a claim. I think all of 'em will file, but most will not win or will get some sort of settlement.

If someone threw a cup of shit at you, you wouldnt go after them? Just goes to show what trash lives in Detroit. Jermaine Oneal & Stephen Jackson are my new favorite athletes.

If I was making 10 million a year to play a game and was being paid by the guy that threw shit at me I would be a bigger man and asked security to remove the clown. Don't be a tough guy knucklehead, and use common sense. You are a professional, act like one even if the other guy is not. If Artest doesn't go into the stands, then this never happens. What if Artest is banned from the NBA? He could never get a real job anyway cause he cant speak. He is a no good hoodlum that will always be one. Maybe if he goes to jail he can finally meet his daddy who is probably there also. Also, why the "F" is Artest lying down on the scorers table in the first place? He is there because he thinks he is ROn Artest and he can do whatever the hell he wants. Exactly why there was a riot and exactly why that shithead should be kicked out of the NBA for good.

So if you get hit in thr face with a cup of sode/ice, youre going to calmly ask security to remove this individual? Riiiight... if so, you'd better change your tampon. Im not a big Artest fan, but there;s VERY few in the league that wouldnt have done the same. Punk ass fans need to be put in check, some 145lb nerd throwing shit needs his ass beat. End of story.

Some of you have an interesting perception of the law. Nearly EVERY fan who got hit is going to win in court...the only one(s) who might lose are fans who hit the player first. The fat guy taunting on the floor...okay, he's an obnoxious ass and I don't feel sorry for him...but the fact remains that he was JUST talking...and a player hit him in the jaw...and ran across the floor to do so semi-blindside. The law basically only allows you to hit someone in self-defense...you have to be hit or be in imminent and certain danger of being hit to get the legal right to hit someone.

Ron Artest is going to get sued by everyone because none of it happens if he doesn't start it.

Individual players are going to get sued by the people they hit.

The NBA will most likely get sued for not having proper procedures for such events in place.

The Detroit Pistons / Palace At Auburn Hills will be sued for not having adequate security.

It's going to be a mess....

Oh, and let's not forget the people who weren't actually hit, but had to bail out of their seats in a hurry or were knocked over in the melee. Lots of twisted ankles, wrenched backs, tweaked knees, sore necks, ect. are going to come out of the woodwork to get a piece of the litigation pie.

Would you have said that if they were white basketball players? Just wondering.
