  • fat burners, do they really work?

    Hey there everyone!
Im new to this board and have a few questions about fat burners, they are advertised everywhere and not sure what to think. I used to take the origional hydroxycut that is now banned and I liked it but I have heard so many bad things about them that Im a little hesitant to try them again.

Can anyone give me some info on these or any other suppliments that might help burn fat and tone me up?

    :) thanks

Well the first and most important thing is diet when looking to cut up. Fat burners only help the process. How is your diet?

bouncers right, ur diet is the key.....
but the reason the original hydroxycut and others like stackers worked was cause they had ephedrine in them.. they all are ephedra free now... i read up on this cause i really liked them and i found out that the reason that they banned them was ephedra mixed with a few other easly obtainable materials can produce meth ... yea the media and alot of other people say its bad for ur health to take... but if keep at a reasonable dosage its perfectly fine.. unless u already have a serious heart problem.... now u can get ephedrine in something called vasapro.. its really cheap and it works fine...
with a good diet and training, vasapro will help out alot...

Well from what I have been reading in other posts it sounds like my diet really sucks. I never eat fast food or anything like that, I love to cook different meals, it's like a hobby for me so my meals are never the same. But to break it down a bit I usually eat only 2 or 3 times a day and that is when I first wake up and then at dinner time. I usually eat a lot of chicken, seafood, salads with vinegarette dressing, potatoes, and I love veggies.

I have just started going to the gym this week and I want to get dedicated to it, but I find myself just going to aerobic classes because I really dont know where to start when it comes to doing weight training and I guess thats why I liked the hydroxycut because I just went to the classes and I got results. I want to take a different approach now though. Any help would be great.
        Thanx so much

Fat burners suck and IMO they are not good for you. I think a good attitude, diet and exercise is the way to go too. I tried the fat burner thing once and they really fucked me up in the head...I was SOOO imbalanced when I took them....NEVER AGAIN!! :D

One of the best books you can pick up to learn a lot of basics on weight training is by Arnold Schwarzenegger "The New Encyclopedia of Modern Bodybuilding." It's $25 and as thick as a phonebook. This book covers so much and it will be a great refference for you for years to come. It goes into some diet stuff, training programs, it shows how to do different exercises, etc.
